Given the millions of learning portals, the growing number of simulation tools, the course resource possibilities, and the thousands of possible online course activities, it is small wonder many are stymied about what to do with the world of open learning. There is so much to know that many give up or simply do not start to open the world. Where will you step? And what will you open once you enter this gargantuan World of learning? So much hope exists there for you. You can open careers. Create new worlds. Share what you know about your existing world. Stated another way, it is but a child. The World Is Open is the best of the e-Learning books. Today an article by Thomas Friedman appeared in the New York Times about how the energy policies of John McCain and Hillary Clinton, two of three remaining presidential candidates in the U.S., were, according to the title of the article, as "Dumb as We Wanna Be." They were suggesting temporary federal excise tax cuts in lieu of talk about a real energy plan. |
